In this lesson, we continue building on the fundamentals of precision, body structure, and hand-foot coordination with a new set of practical wooden dummy techniques. These drills are vital for any Wing Chun practitioner aiming to refine their technique and apply it in realistic combat scenarios.
Wing Chun Wooden Dummy Techniques Covered in Lesson 10:
• Upper lying palm (right hand) with Jut Sau (left hand)
• Lower Bong Sau (right hand) with Pak Sau (left hand)
• Lower Bong Sau (left hand) with Pak Sau (right hand)
• Tan Sau (Djum Shou) (right hand) with Wu Sau (left hand)
• Upper lying palm (right hand) with Wu Sau (left hand)
• Left stomping foot technique
• Left hand Bong Sau applied directly to the dummy’s body
(This is a unique and versatile move that expands your ability to apply basic Wing Chun techniques effectively.)
• All techniques mirrored on the opposite side
• Closing sequence: Wu Sau (left hand) with Gum Sau (right hand)
