Educational, Short Films, Special Interest, Sports, PG-13, 01-Aug-2024
The techniques that we will drill on the wooden dummy include:
From high and low Gaun Sau, we transfer into right hand Man Sau and left hand Tan Sau (there are two ways of transfer from Gaun Sau into left Tan Sau). Emphasis is on connection and transfer through wrists.
Second method of transition: left hand goes into Tan Sau and right hand transfers into Jut Sau.
Third transition: left hand transfers into Tok Sau and right hand transfers into Jut Sau, producing opposite force direction.
Next transition: from left hand Tan Sau into Jut Sau and right hand from Man Sau into Tan Sau (Djum Shou), with the right arm performing an upper lying palm, and then returning to Tan Sau.
In this lesson, three different ways to transfer from high and low Gaun Sau are demonstrated.
By mastering these techniques, practitioners will develop a solid foundation that integrates essential Wing Chun skills with proper hand and foot coordination. Through these lessons, you will learn how to extract different drills from the basic framework of techniques presented in each lesson.
